Poly-America was founded in 1976. POLY-AMERICA is part of a group of privately-held corporations, including Poly-Flex, Inc., Poly-Flex Construction, Inc. and Poly-Trucking, Inc., headquartered in Grand Prairie, Texas, in the heart of the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex..

Poly-America also has other sister companies and divisions. Up North Plastics, Inc., a second manufacturing plant, is located in Cottage Grove, Minnesota. A third site, Pol-Tex, a reprocessing and scrap service center, is located in Mont Belvieu, Texas. Additionally, our newest plant in Henderson, Nevada, is operational and serving the west coast. Another facility is in the planning stages, and we’ll be breaking ground in the near future to build Poly-East in Chester, South Carolina.

Poly-America produces several product lines, all within the polyethylene family. The group of companies comprises the world’s largest producer of polyethylene construction film, the highest quality trash bag manufacturer in the United States, and a leading supplier of geomembrane liners. Poly-America is also the most technologically advanced and largest recycler and compounder of polyethylene in the world.

Dedicated to providing the highest quality polyethylene products, our team of chemical, mechanical, electrical and process engineers is at the forefront of modern technology. The company’s innovative design team is responsible for several technological breakthroughs in blown-film extrusion and bag making. Most recently, the United States Patent and Trademark Office recognized our innovation, granting U.S. Patent 7,048,224 B2, “Wave-Cut Overlapping Trash Bags.” We also maintain one of the most sophisticated on-site laboratories in the plastics industry.

Since Poly-America was founded in 1976, recycling and enviornmental stewardship have played major roles in our products, operations, and philosophy.  All of our state-of-the-art facilities feature equpment, procedures and training that exceed environmental and safety regulations. Our plants have received numerous awards in recognition of our water and air discharge programs.
Additionally, Poly-America is an actice member of Opration CleanSweep, which is committed to preventing ecological damage that can result from plastic resin discharge into the enviornment. Indeed, we have taken the lead in volumntarily implementing training anc accountability for spill prevention, containment, and cleanup.  Since the mid-1980s, Ploy-America has ranked as one of the largest recylers of polyethylene in the world. Our infrastructure as a plastic recyler has contributed to the success of numerous local, regional, and national recyling efforts.
